I am Akosua.

Lost in Twi translation? It literally means - my name is Akosua .

This is the name given to a woman in Ghana who is born on a Sunday, and I love this name, even though I am Czech and many of my friends don't call me anything else! I often feel like I was "Obroni Pete" in a past life — a white woman who loved Africa, its colors, rhythms, and stories. 🇬🇭

Africa has always fascinated and attracted me as something deep and invisible. I have many friends from Africa around me and each of them has brought something wonderful into my life — a smile, a story, a smell, a color and also my favorite African dishes (I adore jollof!). And one of those people became my life partner. Thanks to him, I get to know African culture, its joy and tenderness every day. And I completely fell in love with it. ❤️
